Bed Bugs Spray - How You Should Apply It

If you are going to do your own bed bugs treatment, you need to invest in a spray.  I recommend the sprays displayed here at the bottom of the page.  After you purchase the spray, you need to know what to do with it.  Read on to learn more!

Bed Bugs Spray - How To Apply It to My Room

There are many choices when it comes to bed bugs spray.  I am not here to make a specific recommendation for you.  Regardless of the spray you decide to use, there are appropriate ways to use the spray!  Make sure you buy a lot of bed spray.  This is important because you want to use as much as you can in your room.  You may also need to treat your room more than once, so I recommend buying enough spray for several treatments. Also, only use one type of spray per treatment.  Using two types of spray could result in canceling out the effects of the treatment.  If two separate types of treatment are used, you might just be wasting your time.

You need to put yourselves in the body of a bed bug before beginning treatment.  Where do bedbugs hide?  They can hide almost anywhere in a room!  They are usually found under mattresses and box springs.  They hide in dark hidden places during the day.  Some of the places they can hide include cracks and crevices, electrical sockets, on curtains, under carpets, under floors, inside walls, etc.  They can even live in electrical equipment like televisions and in cell phones in really extreme situations!

I say all of these things because you want to apply treatment everywhere in an infested room.  Start by spraying around the bed area.  Do NOT spray your mattress directly.  You should NEVER treat surfaces where you sleep or sit on regularly with pesticides.  You SHOULD treat your box spring and head boards.  After treating these areas, begin treating other areas of the room, starting with the baseboards and cracks crevices around the bed, and work your way all over the room.  Treat electrical sockets, windows, and any openings where a very skinny bed bug could come into the room.  You want to make it impossible for a bed bug to enter the room(s) without coming into contact with your treatment!  Pull up carpets if this is a carpeted room and treat under the carpet.  Go through all of your personal belongings in your room and check them for bed bugs.  Treat furniture in the room the best you can.  They are commonly found in furniture, and you don’t want to miss anything.  Treat drawers and treat all areas where they could enter, and finish treating the room at the doorway.

After your treatment, use a sticky glue board in the room to monitor the room for activity.  You can use these sticky glue boards to see if any additional bedbugs appear.  If you still have activity soon after your treatment, you need to do a 2nd treatment using the same strategy that you used the first time.

With the appropriate treatment, it is possible to kill bedbugs without a professional bed bug exterminator.  These treatment recommendations may not work in every situation, but they will work in most situations.  If you still can not get rid of them after your bed bugs spray treatments, you need to hire a professional pest control exterminator as soon as possible!
